HEPARINUM 25.000 I.U./5 ml Solution for I.V. Injection

It is indicated for the prevention of early myocardial infarction in patients with unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction who have experienced an episode of chest pain within the preceding 12 hours and have ECG changes and/or elevated cardiac enzyme levels. It is used in combination with acetylsalicylic acid and unfractionated heparin.

For the treatment of advanced thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger disease) with critical limb ischemia when revascularization is not indicated; severe peripheral arterial occlusive disease, particularly in patients at risk of amputation for whom surgery or angioplasty is not possible; and severe, disabling Raynaud phenomenon that is unresponsive to other treatments.

Used for iron deficiency anemia in patients with impaired gastrointestinal iron absorption, active gastrointestinal bleeding, or a history of total or subtotal gastrectomy; when oral iron therapy is not tolerated or is ineffective; when rapid iron supplementation is clinically required; and for iron deficiency in patients with chronic renal failure who are receiving erythropoietin therapy, whether or not they are dialysis-dependent.
